Best NC para Makapagtrabaho sa Japan

11 min basa

Most new SSW I applicants need to pass both. Workers who satisfactorily completed Technical Intern Training II may be exempt, although a skills test is still required if they will work in a different field.

Not currently ranked as an active first choice: Cookery NC II. Maganda ang match nito sa Japan’s food-service work, but Japan suspended new SSW certificate-of-eligibility issuance for this field starting April 13, 2026, dahil expected nang maabot ang intake limit.

Mas safe na maghintay muna ang applicants ng official reopening notice kaysa mag-enroll based only on old job advertisements.

How Was the Ranking Calculated?

  1. Competency match, 30% — Gaano kalapit ang TESDA qualification sa official Japanese work description.
  2. Policy-backed demand, 25% — Japan’s approved acceptance ceiling from April 2024 to March 2029.

Japan does not publish one guaranteed salary based on a specific TESDA NC.

Why Is Food Processing NC II the Best Overall Choice

Japan set an acceptance ceiling of 139,000 workers from April 2024 to March 2029 para sa field na ito. Applicants generally need to pass the Food and Beverage Manufacturing SSW proficiency test, plus either JFT-Basic or JLPT N4 or higher.

What Jobs Can It Lead To?

Nakadepende pa rin ang actual work sa approved Japanese job description, pero possible roles based on the competency overlap include:

  • Food production worker
  • Food processing worker
  • Packing or packaging staff
  • Production-line staff
  • Basic quality-control tasks
  • Sanitation and food-safety work connected to production

TESDA’s Food Processing NC II covers salting, curing, smoking, fermentation, pickling, sugar concentration, drying, dehydration, thermal processing, packing, food safety, sanitation, at basic equipment operation.

What Are the Limits?

  • The Japanese skills test and the actual job order will still determine kung qualified ka.
  • Some employers may also require production experience kahit walang universal experience period na required under immigration rules.

Can This Become a Long-Term Career?

Yes.

Under SSW I, puwedeng manatili sa Japan for a total of up to five years, at generally hindi allowed ang family accompaniment. Sa SSW II, walang fixed upper stay limit as long as the status is properly renewed, at maaaring maisama ang spouse at children kapag na-meet ang required conditions.

Why Does Caregiving NC II Rank Second

Caregiving NC II is the best choice para sa applicants na talagang committed sa elderly care, pero mas mataas ang language at emotional demands nito compared with many other pathways.

Connected ito sa Japan’s SSW nursing-care field, na may official five-year acceptance ceiling na 135,000. Maaari rin itong maging useful qualification for applicants under the Japan–Philippines Economic Partnership Agreement or JPEPA.

Sa TESDA, kasama sa qualification ang care for elderly persons and people with special needs. Sa Japan naman, SSW nursing-care work may include assistance with bathing, eating, excretion, recreation, and functional training.

What Tests Are Required Under SSW Nursing Care?

Most new applicants need to pass three assessments:

  1. Nursing Care Skills Evaluation Test
  2. JFT-Basic or JLPT N4 or higher
  3. Nursing Care Japanese Language Evaluation Test

How Is the JPEPA Route Different?

For the 2026 JPEPA call:

  • A BS Nursing graduate could apply for the careworker category, with or without a PRC licence.
  • A graduate of another four-year course had to submit a valid Caregiving NC II.
  • Nurse candidates needed a BS Nursing degree, an active PRC licence, and at least three years of hospital, clinic, or health-centre experience.

Closed na ang 2026 application period. These requirements show that Caregiving NC II is formally recognized in a bilateral employment pathway, pero hindi ito dapat basahin bilang current recruitment notice. Future batches may have different requirements.

Can a Caregiver Stay Longer Than Five Years?

Nursing care is not currently included in the SSW II fields because Japan has a separate residence status for certified care workers.

Under JPEPA, candidates are encouraged to pass Japan’s national certified-careworker examination. Kapag naipasa ang relevant national exam, maaari itong magbigay ng pathway toward longer employment under the appropriate residence status.

Who Should Not Choose This NC?

Huwag piliin ang Caregiving NC II dahil lang mukhang “in demand.”

The work involves personal care, physical assistance, careful documentation, shift work, and regular communication with vulnerable clients. Mas mataas din ang language burden because mistakes in communication can directly affect a person’s health, comfort, and safety.
